DESCRIPTION
A high solids, low viscosity, hard wearing, heavy duty alkyd formulation floor paint for use on concrete, wood, brick and stone. Dries to a satin finish. For interior use only.
USES
- Designed to give a hard wearing, easy clean finish to concrete, stone, brick and wooden floors subject to light to medium traffic including fork lift trucks and scissor lifts, etc.
- Suitable for use internally on garage floors, warehouses, workshops, factories, storerooms and pedestrian walkways
- Designed to give enhanced durability, abrasion resistance and good resistance to dilute acids/alkalis and oils including brake fluid, engine cleaners, screen wash, anti-freeze, power steering fluid, diesel and sump oil.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
- This product is ready to use product and does not require diluting. Apply using brush or roller to give even coat, 2 coats are usually required. Bond It FLOOR PAINT is touch dry within 2-3 hours depending on ambient temperatures, leave 16 to 24 hours between each coat. Clean tools and brushes with white spirit. Cured paint can be removed using xylene (paint stripper). Priming isn’t usually required, but if necessary apply a coat of 1 part white spirit to 4 parts paint and allow to dry before proceeding
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
- All surfaces must be clean of any contaminants such as dust, oil, etc. and dry (to the touch). Remove any loose or flaking material with a scraper and stiff brush to expose a smooth debris free surface. Remove any moss, mould or lichens chemically or mechanically. Hardened floors may require abrasion prior to use. If in doubt test a small area prior to full application.
LIMITATIONS
- New concrete must be a minimum of 6 months old before painting. Do not use on concrete floors with a moisture level reading above 18%, that do not have a waterproof membrane or that contain a dust suppressing additive. Only suitable for light to medium traffic, for areas subject to heavy traffic or constant use, an epoxy based paint would be recommended. Do not traffic until fully cured.
