Paints, Decorating & Cleaning

Before you go ahead and buy some paint for your home, you’ll want to make sure you buy the most appropriate type as there are a number to choose from.

Emulsion Paint: Nearly half of emulsion paint consists of water. The rest are polymer particles in which pigments are trapped. These fuse together to create a film on a surface which is the paint we see!

Undercoat Paint: This type of paint is used as a primer to fill any imperfections in the surface, creating a smoother, even-coloured surface for the ‘topcoat’ which is the layer you’ll be able to see.

Stain Blocking Paint: As its name suggests, stain blocker paint is used to cover stains, whether they’re watermarks, nicotine, markers or smoke, stopping them from penetrating through any new layers of paint.

Masonry Paint: Masonry paint is otherwise known as exterior paint as it is intended to be used on rough surfaces like brick, stone, plaster, concrete and cement render.
