Toothed Washer: This type of washer is designed to provide a more secure fixing than flat washers. The serrated teeth dig into the given material, making it less likely to loosen via friction. This type of washer works best with softer materials as hard materials may flatten the teeth.

Cup Square Bolts: This type of nuts and bolts are used for timber fixings and they use a square neck to grip the hole inside the timber rather than drilling a drive recess into the top of the head as is conventional. This makes for a more aesthetically pleasing finish.

Threaded Steel Studding: Rather than nails or screws, steel studding is great for fitting basements as they’re composed of steel which make them very strong and durable. Generally, studding is used for metal fixings and there is dedicated metal framing studding for non-load bearing walls.
