  • Water Repellent
  • Cement Based High Polymer render basecoat
  • Matt finish

APPLICATION

Please note, to avoid dampness and discolouration, rending should be avoided below DPC or within 150mm of ground level

Use a stainless steel float or suitable spray equipment to apply the Basecoat to a depth of 3-4mm (onto insulation) or 5mm (onto masonry) and use a notched trowel to prepare the basecoat for the application of a reinforcing mesh.
Bed in the mesh using a stainless steel float and ensure that the joints overlap by 100mm. Once the initial set has take up, apply a second coat of this basecoat with a depth of 3-4mm (onto insulation) or 5mm (onto masonry) to produce a sandwich between the mesh and second coat.

Johnstone's Trade Stormshield High Performance Render Basecoat should be applied to a total thickness of 6mm (onto insulation) or 10mm (onto masonry).

Finish the basecoat with a notched trowel or sponge float depending on the finish you will be applying.
