DESCRIPTION
The Manthorpe SmartDrain is an easy and effective way of removing unwanted standing water into a domestic drain. Quick and easy to install, the protective grate is high-heel and child friendly, and the product sits flush with the floor, allowing for the passage of vehicles on a driveway. The channels can be cut to length and clip together easily for ease of installation on site. The SmartDrain can be fitted on driveways, patios and paths around the home and will work with any type of paving from block and flagstones to tarmac or concrete. The grate is available with a choice of matte black or metallic effect silver finish. A 4 way junction box is also available.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
When digging the trench in which to place the channel, it is important that the correct fall is integrated. A fall of 1 in 40 (25mm in 1m) will guide the water to the outlet at a substantial rate to avoid puddling and debris sticking. To fit the outlet pipe straight to an elbow or other junction, first cut a small section of 4” pipe approximately 100mm long and use that to sleeve between the channel outlet and the junction.
