Porcelain: If you’re looking for the greatest amount of water-resistance then porcelain tiles will be your best option. This is because these floor tiles are denser, and thus less porous, than alternatives like laminate flooring. Just make sure you use good quality tile grout!

Ceramic: Ceramic is great because it’s antislip so it’s ideal for installations around swimming pools. They’re also a highly customisable material, available in a variety of colours and shapes, and able to be moulded into interesting and unique patterns.

Edge Trim: Whether it’s a vinyl edge strip or a uPVC edge trim, these will soften the transition from wall tiles and floor tiles to any other materials, making your bathroom more aesthetically pleasing. Once more, you’ll need to make sure you use good quality tile grout and tile adhesives to keep it in place and make sure it doesn’t fail in the future.
