Pink Fire is a fire resistant plasterboard that withstands fire for a longer period of time to allow for safe evacuation. It is made of a gypsum core between paper liners, face being a pink colour and the reverse being brown. This plasterboard contains glass fibre and other additives to provide extra fire protection.
This plasterboard can be used in partitions, ceilings and steel encasement systems to achieve the fire performance required in domestic separating walls, corridors, garages and steel encasements. It is also suitable for use in commercial areas such as offices and shopping centres.
Please note this product is NOT suitable for moist or wet conditions and should not be used where temperatures exceed 52ºC

Fixing
Fix the board with the decorative side facing outwards to receive finishes. Install fixings at least 13mm from cut edges and 10mm from bound edges. Position cut edges at internal angles wherever possible. Stagger horizontal and vertical joints between layers by at least 600mm
Finishing & Plastering
After fixing the board, start finishing it as soon as you can to limit the risk of damage or UV degradation to the paper liner.
Snagging & Repairing Minor Damages
For minor damage and dents, check that the board core isn't shattered. If it's intact, fill the damaged area with Gyproc EasiFill 60, allow it to set, then apply a second coat if you need to. When it's dry, sand it to a finish before redecorating the area. For a damaged core, broken edges or extensive damage, repair and replacement procedures differ depending on the number of board layers and fire resistance of the system; please contact Technical Support Team for specific advice.
